Making the transition from school to adult life can be challenging for many young people. For those with an intellectual disability or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), that transition can be even more challenging.
Meet Katelyn Greene, Facilitator for Inclusive Employment with the PEI ACL. Katelyn is working on a project to assist students with intellectual disabilities or ASD who are currently in High School who would like assistance with Transition planning, Career Exploration, Mentoring and Career Preparations. The overall goal of this project is to assist high school students with intellectual disabilities and ASD to prepare for, and find after school, weekend and/or summer employment during their high school years and gain experience in and/or transition to successful employment post-graduation.
